XAT Armoured Instrumentation Cable Individual Screen to IEC 60092-376
XAT armoured instrumentation marine cables are manufactured in accordance with IEC 60092. Originally designed for ship wiring, they have become popular throughout the petrochemical and process control industries due to their low smoke, low gas generation and increased flame retardant properties. XAT-IU offers a combined braid screen copper armour whilst XAT-I includes an additional foil screen around each pair to prevent crosstalk.
Manufacturers alternative reference: Nexans TCX (i), Helkama RFE-HF (i), Prysmian HFX-ISA.
Construction:XAT-I: Copper or tinned copper conductors, XLPE insulation, each pair aluminium/polyester foil screened with a drain wire, bedding or filler tape, copper wire braid screen or tinned copper wire braid & armour, SHF1 Low Smoke Halogen Free sheath – grey or blue.
