PV-Ultra Photovoltaic Solar Cable
The PV-Ultra® photovoltaic solar cables are designed to meet the requirements of the DC interconnections between the solar panel and the photovoltaic (PV) system, such as isolators and invertors. These cables offer exceptional UV stability and can operate in extreme conditions with a temperature range of up to 120°C.
With the growth in renewable energy sources, the demand for specialist cables to meet specific requirements has also increased. While the cables used to link solar panels to each other or to a regulator are relatively simple, the environments they operate in can be very hostile. Ultraviolet (UV) can be extremely damaging to conventional cable, breaking down standard insulation within a matter of months in some cases. Heat and weather can also be very destructive.
These PV-Ultra solar cables feature flexible class 5 stranded tinned copper conductors, red and white colour cores, a CarbonTek® bedding, double insulated cross-linked rubber insulation and SolarTek® PVC sheath.
