About the Sales Order Processor Role 

Our Sales Order Processor will act as a liaison between the customer and all departments and provide product/services information and resolve any emerging problems that our customer accounts might face with accuracy and efficiency. You should be genuinely excited about helping customers and be patient, empathetic, and passionately communicative. You should be able to put yourself in our customers’ shoes and advocate for them when necessary. Our customer feedback is priceless, and problem-solving should also come naturally to you. You should be confident at troubleshooting and investigate if you do not have enough information to resolve customer queries.
The target is to ensure excellent service standards, respond efficiently to customer inquiries and maintain high customer satisfaction at all times.

Main Duties

  • Processing customers’ orders onto our in-house CRM system efficiently and accurately
  • Making outgoing calls to customers to resolve any issues or for clarification of information relating to their account or order
  • Carrying out customer service follow up calls
  • Ensuring that the company database is updated with customer information, including change of address etc. from marketing information returned to the office
  • Completing the freight companies’ daily report from our courier and distributing to our in-house sales team
  • Checking freight invoices and reconciling delivery times against the invoice, claiming for any late deliveries
  • Scanning and filing of orders and other documentation onto our CRM system
  • Assisting other team members with orders as and when required, also helping out within other departments when the need arises
  • Handling returns for customers that want to return goods to us estimating handling charges
  • Organising and coordinating collections 
  • Responsible for all daily outgoing company post
  • As well as these core job functions you will also need to get stuck in and assist where necessary to provide a great service to our customers
In addition, you will be required to perform other duties as assigned by the Customer Service Manager.

Requirements

  • Exceptional attention to detail both numerically and in written language
  • Ability to demonstrate organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Some previous experience in a similar or relevant administration role 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and great telephone manner when speaking with customers 
  • Confident and assertive whilst remaining approachable and helpful 
  • IT competency specifically with Outlook, Word and Excel 
  • Strong work ethic and takes pride in doing a good job 
  • Enjoys working in a busy, fast-paced environment without crumbling under pressure
